My friend turns 23:

oh fuck im getting old and i hvn’t done shit. im closer to graduation, and i have this fear of working in enclosed spaces all my life from 8am to 6pm. i’m probably not academically brilliant enough, unlike thio li ann, to land a masters scholarship and a paid PHD at an ivy league overseas. i should have more sex. i have not saved the world. i’m old and i’m dying and soon wrinkly. i might die a lonely pauper. i’m lazy. my gym discipline falters. im doing too many things for my CV but im not focused enough. i’ll be 40 soon and then i’ll look back at my material possessions feeling like an perplexed alien on earth, only i’m balding and fat.
